Our story first started in Japan, a country famous for its high-end fruit. Inspired by Japan’s excellence in fruit cultivation, our founder and CEO, Hiroki Koga, set out to share the Japanese strawberry experience with the world.
Oishii combines over a decade of cutting-edge agriculture research with time-tested strawberry cultivation techniques to establish a first-of-its-kind indoor vertical strawberry farm in America.
In 2018, Oishii debuted the Omakase berry at Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare in New York City, a three-star Michelin restaurant lauded as one of the best in the world.
Since then, other top restaurants in Manhattan, such as Atomix and Atera, have also featured Oishii’s strawberries.
